Empathy in Action: Creating a Stroke Aware Society is the name of SPARSH Hospital’s stroke awareness campaign

Bangalore—SPARSH Hospital, RR Nagar, organized a significant campaign to increase public awareness about brain strokes in observance of World Stroke Day. An organized group meditation session targeted at stroke prevention and brain health promotion was part of the “Empathy in Action – Building a Stroke Aware Society” campaign. The Hospital successfully engaged a varied audience by reaching out to over 5,000 people through the campaign, including professionals, seniors, and students. This program was a major step toward raising public knowledge and comprehension of brain strokes.

In the presence of Drs. Amit Kulkarni and Abhilash Bansal, as well as Dr. Kiran Kumar B R, Medical Director of SS SPARSH Hospital, the hospital also revealed a unique screening kit for brain strokes. A special 3D brain sculpture will travel the streets on a vehicle to raise public awareness of strokes, which happen often to people of all ages.

Dr. Amit Kulkarni is SS SPARSH Hospital’s senior consultant and head of neurology and stroke. Declared, “Brain strokes can have catastrophic outcomes and are a serious, sometimes fatal disorder. People should be aware of the warning indicators, which include abrupt weakness, numbness, or trouble speaking. Seek prompt medical attention if you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms. In terms of stroke prevention, prompt action can make all the difference. We may work toward a future with fewer strokes and better outcomes for people impacted by stroke by remaining knowledgeable and watchful.
