If you are going to go for Aloe vera cultivation, then first of all, prepare it well by getting the field plowed, etc. There is a possibility of damage to Aloe vera plants from many types of crop pests. To prevent diseases like rot and spotting in Aloe vera leaves, spray Mancozeb, Ridomil, and Dithane M-45 in the right quantity on the plants. Aloe vera plants per acre require 25 kg of urea, 35 kg of phosphorus and 10 kg potash, and 3 to 4 tons of cow dung manure per acre.

Keep removing the weeds growing in the fields from time to time. Due to this, the growth of plants can be affected. If you are planting Barbadensis (Aloe Barbadensis) species, keep a distance of about 2 feet between the two plants. For higher yield, keep a distance of 60 cm between the plants of its other species. Aloe vera can be cultivated in any season. But the time between October to November is considered right for its sowing. If you plant it once, it can be harvested twice a year. According to agricultural experts, if you are going to start its cultivation from one acre of the farm, then for this, you will need about 14,000 plants of aloe vera. Apart from this, their number may increase or decrease according to the field.

Talk about the cost of one plant; then, it is available for Rs.3-4 per plant. Overall, the cost of cultivating it in one acre comes to around Rs.50,000. At the same time, leaves weighing up to 3-5 kg on average are removed from the plant. The cost of their leaves is around Rs. 8-9. Many companies deal directly with the farmers from the farm itself. Apart from this, you can also sell them by extracting the gel from the plant. This will earn you a very good amount of money.
