Charges Filed In Constable Murder Case For Stopping Drinking Session In Delhi

The Delhi Police has filed a detailed 400-page chargesheet in the Constable murder case in the Tis Hazari Court in Nangloi. The constable, 30, was killed after confronting two men drinking alcohol in a car.

The police arrested two individuals, Dharmendra and Rajneesh (also known as Situ), in connection with the incident. Dharmendra was the driver of the car, and Rajneesh was a passenger. Rajneesh was arrested on September 30, while Dharmendra was taken into custody on October 1.

According to the chargesheet filed on December 27, the Constable murder case occurred on the night of September 29. Sandeep Malik, on plainclothes duty, noticed Dharmendra and Rajneesh consuming alcohol in their car. When Malik confronted them, an argument broke out.

The situation escalated when the accused hit Malik’s motorcycle with their car, dragging it for 10 meters. Malik suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Dharmendra and Rajneesh have been named the main accused in the case. The charges include murder (Section 103 IPC), obstructing a public servant (Section 221 IPC), and assault to prevent duty (Section 132 IPC). Additionally, two individuals, Jitendra and Manoj Sherman, have been charged with harbouring the accused.

This tragic incident has left the city in shock, with the police continuing to investigate the case.
