Gautam Gambhir reacts to CSK win against GT
Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir saluted MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after their IPL 2023 win. The Super Kings crushed the Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets. However, this was done with the means of the DLS method.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Gambhir hailed Chennai for winning their fifth IPL title. The Super Kings won five IPL titles, matching the Mumbai Indians’ (MI) record.
Gambhir also suggested that while securing the silverware even once is quite challenging, CSK has managed to do it on five occasions.
The IPL 2023 final between CSK and GT ended up being an enchanting one for fans. Gujarat enlisted an overwhelming 214-pursue complete being approached to bat first because of a fabulous thump from Sai Sudharsan (96 off 47).
After the rain interrupted the 2nd inning, Chennai was given a modified objective of 171 out of 15 overs. Ravindra Jadeja scored 10 runs off the final two balls to lead his team to a famous victory as MS Dhoni and Co. chased the target in thrilling action.
Batting first, GT amassed 214 for 4, a big score in a final. Chasing a revised target of 171 runs in 15 overs in a rain-curtailed match, CSK won a last-ball thriller by five wickets. This was done by Ravindra Jadeja’s six and four off the last two deliveries of the match. Dhoni’s individual performance was limited to a first-ball duck. But that extraordinary stumping to dismiss the in-form Shubman Gill for his 300th T20 dismissal was superb.
