Yogi Government Prepares For Maha Kumbh With Extensive Tourist Support

The Yogi government is gearing up to welcome over 41 crore devotees and tourists expected to attend the Maha Kumbh in January 2025. To ensure a seamless and informative experience for attendees, the administration is establishing tourism information centers both within and around the Kumbh Mela area.

Enhanced Visitor Experience

The new initiative aims to eliminate the need for tourists to search for information on local attractions, as the Tourism Department sets up 10 temporary information centers outside the Kumbh Mela grounds. These centers will be strategically located at all major railway stations, bus stations, and temporary bus terminals in Prayagraj.

Aparajita Singh, Regional Tourism Officer of Prayagraj, stated that the Tourism Directorate is in the process of issuing an e-tender to select an agency for the establishment of these centers.

Comprehensive Resources

The tourism information centers, created by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, will provide information booklets in both Hindi and English, covering all major attractions in Prayagraj. Digital resources will also be available to cater to tech-savvy visitors.

In addition, each center will offer a guidebook and a list of trained guides to assist tourists with their inquiries. Information on registered paying guest houses will be provided, helping visitors find suitable accommodations during their stay.

Support in the Mela Area

Details about tent cities and colonies in the Mela area will also be accessible at these centers, ensuring that tourists have comprehensive support throughout the event. For any visitors unable to obtain necessary information at railway or bus stations, temporary centers will be established directly within the Kumbh Mela area.

With these preparations, the Yogi government aims to enhance the overall experience for millions of devotees and tourists attending the Maha Kumbh.
