Yogi Government Prepares For Maha Kumbh 2025 With Advanced AI Surveillance Systems

As preparations ramp up for Maha Kumbh 2025, the Yogi government is actively working to ensure the utmost safety and security for the millions of devotees expected to attend.

In a significant technological advancement, the government plans to install over 2,500 cutting-edge CCTV cameras throughout Prayagraj and the surrounding areas.

These AI-powered surveillance systems will not only monitor activities in real time but also alert security personnel to any suspicious behavior.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently emphasized the importance of a comprehensive security framework during a review meeting focused on the event.

Fair Officer Vijay Kiran Anand emphasized that all installations must finish by mid-December to allow for adequate testing and operation before the festival begins.

“We dedicate ourselves to ensuring a smooth and secure experience for all attendees,” Anand affirmed.

The deployment of AI-enhanced CCTV cameras is at the forefront of these security efforts.

These smart cameras will provide critical data to a centralized control room, enabling rapid responses to any incidents that arise.

Currently, officials have installed approximately 1,000 cameras, and they will add more as the event date approaches.

80 VMD Screens To Provide Essential Updates For Kumbh Across The City

Additionally, 80 Variable Message Display (VMD) screens will be placed across the city to relay essential information and updates to the public.

Given the estimated attendance of over 250 million devotees, the government is taking no chances.

AI technology will aid in crowd management by providing real-time insights into crowd density and movement patterns.

This information will be crucial in preventing congestion and ensuring a smooth flow of foot traffic at key locations.

To further bolster security, a 50-seat call center will be established as part of the Maha Kumbh Mela Helpline 1920.

Staffed by trained police officers, the center will operate around the clock, providing continuous updates and alerts to local authorities about any potential security threats.

The system notifies relevant police stations immediately if officials detect any unusual activity.

In addition to monitoring the event itself, officials place significant emphasis on managing parking for the expected influx of vehicles.

The government is preparing facilities to accommodate over 500,000 vehicles, equipped with an AI-driven parking management system to enhance oversight and security.

This system will track each vehicle’s movements, including entry and exit times, ensuring thorough monitoring.

With these robust measures in place, the Yogi government aims not only to ensure the safety of attendees but also to create a spiritually enriching environment for all who partake in this grand religious celebration.
