With Mahashivratri (February 26) marking the last major bathing day of the ongoing Maha Kumbh, the Uttar Pradesh government has ramped up its preparations to handle the anticipated surge of devotees. As the grand event enters its final phase, officials are working diligently to ensure smooth crowd management and an efficient pilgrimage experience for millions of visitors.
In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the local administration has devised robust strategies to manage the influx of over 50 crore devotees expected during the final Snan.
A comprehensive plan is in place to regulate railway, airport, and roadway operations, while dedicated measures for traffic diversion and parking facilities are being actively implemented. These arrangements aim to prevent inconvenience for pilgrims and ensure a seamless flow of devotees to the sacred Triveni Sangam.
To ensure a hassle-free experience, senior officials are stationed on the ground, overseeing the management operations and promptly addressing any issues. Prayagraj District Magistrate (DM) Ravindra Mandar confirmed that the administration has taken all necessary steps to manage the massive crowd efficiently.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is personally overseeing the event’s progress to ensure a flawless experience for both devotees and local residents. Coordination between districts, police forces, and administrative authorities has been strengthened to guarantee that all aspects of the event run smoothly.
Regular reviews and discussions led by the Additional Director General (ADG) Zone and the Commissioner have played a key role in the successful management of the event so far.
With a large number of devotees expected to converge in Prayagraj for the final Snan, the Yogi government is ensuring that all aspects of the Mahakumbh are executed with precision and care.
As the holy dip approaches, the administration remains committed to making the Maha Kumbh 2025 a well-organized and historically significant event.
