World Jain spiritual leader Acharya Dr Lokesh Muni visited the Delhi residence of Bharat Express CMD and Editor-in-Chief Upendrra Rai to convey heartfelt condolences on the demise of Rai’s elder brother, late Rajesh Rai.
The spiritual leader offered a peace prayer (shanti path) and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
On the occasion, CMD Upendrra Rai expressed gratitude to Acharya Lokesh Muni for his compassionate visit and words of solace during the family’s time of grief.
Late Rajesh Rai had been unwell for some time and passed away on 25 October in Delhi after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.
His mortal remains were taken to his ancestral village, Sherpura Kala in Mohammadabad, Ghazipur, where he was cremated with full rituals and traditional customs.
Remembered as a pillar of compassion and community service, Rajesh Rai dedicated his life to helping others and promoting social welfare.
His calm demeanour, humility, and generosity made him beloved among friends and community members alike.
He played an active role in supporting development work in his village and neighbouring areas, always extending a helping hand to those in need.
His passing created a deep void, touching not only his family but also the media fraternity and the people of Ghazipur district, who deeply respected his social contributions.
Acharya Dr Lokesh Muni is one of Jainism’s most revered spiritual leaders, known for his commitment to peace, non-violence, and interfaith harmony.
Apart from being a religious figure, he is also a poet, writer, and humanitarian, recognised globally for his contributions to moral and spiritual education.
He founded Ahimsa Vishwa Bharati and the World Peace Centre, both dedicated to promoting social awareness and global peace.
For over 33 years, Acharya Lokesh Muni has been working tirelessly towards character building, value education, and establishing non-violence and unity in society.
His outreach and humanitarian efforts have inspired millions, reinforcing India’s timeless message of peace and compassion.
Acharya Lokesh Muni’s visit served as a moment of spiritual comfort for the bereaved family, symbolising the enduring connection between faith, humanity, and compassion.
His prayer for the eternal peace of late Rajesh Rai’s soul reflected the values of harmony and empathy that both CMD Upendrra Rai and his family deeply cherish.
