Ayodhya’s Ram Temple To Witness Historic ‘Dhwaj’ Hoisting By PM Modi On Nov 25

Ayodhya is preparing for one of the most spiritually significant events in its modern history, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the Dhwaj hoisting ceremony atop the spire of the Ram Temple on 25 November.

The ceremony symbolises not only devotion but also the culmination of India’s long-cherished dream to restore the divine presence of Lord Ram at his birthplace.

The Dhwaj—a saffron flag adorned with the symbol of the Sun—represents eternal light, divine energy, and the timeless glory of Lord Ram.

The event will mark a key milestone in the temple’s ongoing construction and in Ayodhya’s evolution as a global centre of spiritual tourism.

Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra confirmed that meticulous preparations are underway for the Prime Minister’s visit.

“We are focusing discussions and arrangements on the Prime Minister’s programme,” Mishra stated. “We are making sure he can tour the temple premises and review the progress of the ongoing construction work.”

The Prime Minister’s Office will approve the final schedule after consultations.

Temple officials confirmed that workers have completed the main sanctum and six subsidiary shrines dedicated to Lord Mahadev, Ganesh, Hanuman, Suryadev, Maa Bhagwati, Maa Annapurna, and Sheshavatar.

They are now beautifying the temple precinct with landscaping and plantation work to enhance its spiritual ambience.

Mishra further revealed that Defence Ministry experts are assisting with the technical arrangements for hoisting the flag atop the temple spire. “We want the ceremony to proceed flawlessly. Every precaution is being taken to ensure safety and precision during the Dhwaj installation,” he added.

Ayodhya’s Urban Transformation

The upcoming ceremony reflects not only a moment of devotion but also the transformation of Ayodhya into a symbol of cultural pride and modern development.

City planners have aligned Ayodhya’s redevelopment with its sacred identity, constructing new corridors such as Ram Path, Bhakti Path, and Dharma Path to seamlessly connect the temple complex with the rest of the city.

These projects enhance the pilgrimage experience by allowing devotees to traverse spaces that narrate the story of Lord Ram while realising the vision of a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable city.

The Uttar Pradesh government has made significant investments to strengthen religious and cultural infrastructure across the state.

The government has allocated ₹4,560 crore to upgrade key pilgrimage routes connecting Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura, Chitrakoot, and Prayagraj.

It has also earmarked ₹4,200 crore to develop the Buddhist Circuit, covering Sarnath, Kushinagar, Shravasti, and other sacred sites.

The 25 November Dhwaj ceremony is set to inspire the nation, symbolising the union of faith and progress.

As Ayodhya stands at the intersection of spirituality and modernity, the event will reaffirm India’s enduring reverence for its cultural roots while highlighting the government’s commitment to infrastructure-led growth and religious tourism.

PM Modi’s participation in this historic ceremony will mark another chapter in India’s journey of devotion, unity, and national pride.
