World Hindi Day Conference And Felicitation Ceremony To Be Held At Nepal Embassy In New Delhi

New Delhi will host a major literary and cultural gathering on January 10, 2026, as the World Hindi Council (Vishva Hindi Parishad), in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal, organises the World Hindi Day Conference and Felicitation Ceremony at the Nepal Embassy.

The event is being held to mark World Hindi Day, celebrating the global reach and growing relevance of the Hindi language. The conference is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm and will bring together policymakers, scholars, cultural figures, and language advocates from India and abroad.

The programme aims to strengthen linguistic ties, promote Hindi as a global language, and recognise outstanding contributions in the field of Hindi language and literature.

Dignitaries To Grace The Occasion

The event will be inaugurated by Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, former Union Minister and a noted advocate of Indian languages. The conference will be presided over by Dr Sunil Ambekar, National General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Kirtivardhan Singh, will attend as the chief guest, highlighting the role of Hindi in India’s cultural diplomacy and international engagement. Spiritual leader Swami Vigyananand Saraswati Maharaj will deliver the benediction address.

Focus On Language, Culture And Global Outreach

The programme will also feature a keynote address by Acharya Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, National President of the World Hindi Council, who is expected to underline the importance of Hindi in education, governance, and global communication.

Several eminent personalities will be present as distinguished guests, including former Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Mishra Teni, Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sangeeta Balwant and Ram Chandra Jangda. Their participation reflects the growing institutional and political support for promoting Hindi at national and international levels.

Organisers said the event will also include a felicitation ceremony to honour individuals who have made significant contributions to the promotion and development of Hindi.

The conference is being coordinated by Dr Rashmi Saluja, with Prof. Harsh Bala Sharma serving as co-convener. Interested participants have been encouraged to register through the QR code provided on the official invitation.

With the Nepal Embassy as the venue, the event is also expected to reinforce India–Nepal cultural relations, showcasing Hindi as a shared linguistic and cultural bridge between the two countries.
