Shortly after preliminary results indicated that the BJP had passed the halfway point in the assembly election, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the BJP said today that the party will maintain a majority in the state.
According to early projections, the BJP has taken 124 of the 230 assembly seats. It appears that Congress is trailing with 100 seats.
In a post on X, the previous Twitter platform, Mr. Chouhan stated, “I am confident that the BJP will form government again with a full majority with the blessings of the people and the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
