The Delhi chapter of the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) organised WISE 4.0 (Women’s International Summit), focusing on women’s entrepreneurship, technological empowerment and access to global markets.
Bharat Express News Network is the media partner for the international conference, which aims to connect women entrepreneurs from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and remote rural areas with artificial intelligence (AI), digital platforms and modern business tools.
Speakers at the summit highlighted the need to strengthen women-led micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as technology continues to reshape businesses and markets.
Rekha Sharma, former National Chairperson of the National Commission for Women and a former BJP Rajya Sabha MP, said women from rural areas and smaller cities possess strong entrepreneurial skills. She further stressed that access to AI tools, digital platforms and modern supply chains could help them expand beyond local markets and reach global consumers.
Technology can help women improve the marketing and branding of their products.
Representatives and guests at the event highlighted the growing focus on Women-Led Development.
Speakers referred to Sanjay Tandon and prominent women leaders present at the summit while assuring aspiring women entrepreneurs of policy, technological and grassroots support.
The summit highlighted initiatives such as ‘Drone Didi’ and ‘Lakhpati Didi’.
Speakers noted that rural women have adopted drone technology for modern farming after receiving training and support.
The achievements of women under the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative were, however, cited as an example of how access to guidance and opportunities can strengthen financial independence.
