Weather Update: Dense Fog In Delhi Before New Year, Temperature Reaches 4 degree, Frozen Snow In Mount Abu

Weather Update: In the last week of the year 2022, in the last week of December, the cold has started wreaking havoc. There is a heavy downfall in the first season of the new year. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), along with the national capital Delhi, severe cold has been observed in most areas of Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of dense fog in different areas of western Uttar Pradesh and northern Rajasthan. Along with this, there is a possibility of increasing cold in Delhi from today.

Severe cold was recorded in most areas in Punjab. Along with this, the severe cold in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi has troubled the people. On the other hand, dense fog cover was also seen at different places in North West Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said that in the next 48 hours, the mercury in Delhi may fall by more than 4 degrees. Due to this, cold winds will continue to wreak havoc in the capital with dense fog.

Weather Update: Reduced Visibility In The Capital Delhi

In Delhi today, on December 26, the minimum temperature has been pegged at 4 degrees, while the maximum temperature can reach up to 16 degrees Celsius. Dense fog is currently prevailing in Delhi and NCR. Visibility of 100 meters has been measured at Palam and Safdarjung. In many parts of Delhi and NCR, visibility is expected to be even less than this.

In fact, for the last several days, it is raining along with snow in the hilly areas. It is being told that there is a possibility of rain with snowfall on the mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next few days. In the Himalayan regions, the mercury has dropped below zero i.e. in minus. Even the water has frozen. Because of which people are facing huge problems. At the same time, due to falling temperature in Mount Abu of Rajasthan, the layer of snow froze. Snow froze on the grounds, on the glass of vehicles.

The Meteorological Department has warned of cold wave and cold days in many areas. Northern Railway informed that 14 Delhi-bound trains are running late due to dense fog in the National Capital Region. At the same time, rain has been predicted in many southern states amidst the cold.
