As the polling process for Lok Sabha elections concluded on June 1 vote counting in West Bengal to take place under heavy security. 92 companies of CAPF security personnel will be deployed in 55 counting centres in Bengal.
The counting for the results of Lok Sabha election will take place tomorrow on June 4 including 42 PCs of West Bengal. Counting in Bengal will take place on 55 centres under the security cover of 92 companies of CAPF.
There will be 55 centers where the counting would take place, according to sources in the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office in West Bengal. 418 counting rooms will be there in these centers including 4,944 counting tables in all.

Only members of the Central Armed Police Forces will be in charge of the counting centers’ innermost security. Each center will have one company of CAPF officers. However, the state police will CAPF officers will look after the second and third tier security.
Suvendu Adhikari, the leader of opposition in West Bengal Assembly had requested ECI to prohibit the entry of state police in innermost tier of security.
The vote counting in West Bengal for By-poll will also take place.
The Lok Sabha elections took place in seven phases with last phase taking place on June 1. Authorities will declare the results on June 4.
