Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Launches ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally; Calls For Unity & Patriotism

On Tuesday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally in New Delhi, underlining the crucial role of national unity and patriotism.

The event, held at Pragati Maidan as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, aimed to reinforce the spirit of national pride.

In his address, VP Dhankhar voiced his concerns about the politicization of national sentiments.

He emphasized that the Tricolour symbolizes a collective national spirit that transcends political divides.

“The Tiranga stands as a testament to our unity and resilience, reminding us that national sentiment must always come first,” VP Dhankhar further stated.

The Vice President however urged citizens to prioritize national interests over political agendas.

“While many understand the importance of national unity, some continue to politicize these sentiments. I call upon all citizens to unite for the country’s greater good and set aside political differences,” he urged.

VP Dhankhar further extolled the significance of the national flag, describing its colors as vibrant symbols of the nation’s energy and spirit.

He praised the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which was launched in 2021 as part of the 75th Independence Day celebrations.

The initiative however encourages citizens to display the Tricolour at their homes, and this year’s campaign is likely to break previous participation records.

“The goal of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is to instill a deep sense of nationalism and patriotism in every citizen, fostering awareness and pride in our national flag,” VP Dhankhar explained.

He reflected on India’s achievements, highlighting its emergence as one of the world’s top five economies, with aspirations to become the third-largest.

VP Dhankhar Honors Netaji Bose, Champions ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Initiative

In concluding his speech, the Vice President paid homage to freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who first hoisted the Tricolour in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 30 December 1943, during British rule.

“The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative represents our collective identity as Indians. It is a symbol of our pride and commitment to a developed India,” VP Dhankhar said. “We pledge to uphold the honor of our flag and our nation.”

The rally and the campaign underscore a national commitment to unity and pride, celebrating India’s progress and reinforcing the significance of national symbols.
