Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of Holi, highlighting the festival’s message of unity, renewal and shared joy.
In a message marking the festival, the Vice-President said Holi symbolises the triumph of good over evil and celebrates the arrival of spring. He described the festival as deeply rooted in India’s traditions and reflective of values such as brotherhood, mutual respect and harmony.
Taking to X, Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan posted, “Happy Holi! This beautiful festival celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring, symbolising renewal, hope, and the vibrant spirit of our civilization.”
He added that Holi reflects the bonds that strengthen society and encourage collective progress.
“Deeply rooted in our rich traditions, Holi reflects brotherhood, mutual respect, and shared joy that strengthen the fabric of our society,” the post further read.
Vice-President Radhakrishnan also expressed hope that the festival would inspire people to spread kindness and work together towards building a more inclusive and peaceful nation.
“May the colours of Holi fill every heart with happiness and fresh energy. Let the festival inspire us to spread kindness and work together towards a more inclusive, peaceful, and Viksit Bharat,” he added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his greetings, wishing that the festival brings happiness and prosperity to people across the country.
“Heartfelt wishes for the festival of Holi, filled with joy, enthusiasm, and new energy,” Shah said in a social media post.
He further added that the festival of colours should bring progress and good fortune to everyone.
“May this festival of colours bring progress, prosperity, and good fortune into everyone’s life,” the Home Minister said.
Holi, one of India’s most widely celebrated festivals, marks the arrival of spring and is celebrated with colours, festivities and community gatherings across the country.
