Varanasi Celebrates World Homeopathy Day in Honour of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann

The birthday of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the pioneer of the homeopathic system of medicine, was commemorated as World Homeopathy Day on Tuesday. The event took place in the auditorium of a hotel located in Pahadia, where District Judge Varanasi (Commerce) PN Rai and senior doctor Dr. R. Bhatia of HMAI Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, paid homage to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann by offering floral tributes at his portrait.

The theme of World Homeopathy Day, “Homeo Parivar, One Health, One Family,” was deliberated during the program. Dr. Pooja Gupta, head of Varanasi Clinic and Homeopathic Research Centre, was honoured with the Homeopathic Youth Icon Award.

Dr. Pooja highlighted the significance of World Homeopathy Day, emphasizing its role in commemorating Dr. Hahnemann’s contributions and raising awareness about the homeopathic medical system. She underscored the importance of informing people about the benefits of homeopathy and recognizing the efforts of homeopathy practitioners.

Dr. Madhu Goswami, a recipient of medical honors, presented her research on the efficacy of homeopathy in combating COVID-19. The program commenced with a rendition of Ganesh Vandana by Dr. Madhu Goswami and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. SA Mussoorie, with Dr. VK Pandey serving as the master of ceremonies. Notable figures such as Dr. Vijay Narayan Singh, Dr. R. P. Singh, Dr. Yogesh Singh, Dr. Atul Sharma, among others, graced the occasion with their presence.
