Vaishnav Akhadas Make Grand Entry At Maha Kumbh 2025

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Maha Kumbh 2025 has seen vibrant participation from various religious traditions. Following the entry of Lord Shiv worshipping Sanyasi Akhadas into the cantonment area, the Vaishnav Akhadas, worshippers of Lord Vishnu, made their grand entry on Wednesday, further adding to the festive atmosphere.

Saints from the Vaishnav Akhadas received a grand welcome with floral showers at various locations across the city. Their presence highlights the expanding legacy of Sanatan Dharma at the Maha Kumbh, which is set to begin on January 13 at the Triveni Sangam, drawing millions of devotees in celebration of faith and devotion.

The Grand Entry Procession

The entry procession of the Vaishnav Akhadas began at the KP Ground complex, led by Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Ram Bhadracharya. Over 10,000 Vaishnav saints took part in the procession, making it a spectacle for the onlookers. Mahant Rajendra Das, National President of All India Shri Panch Nirmohi Ani Akhada, noted that more than 100 Maha Mandaleshwars and Dwaracharyas from the three Vaishnav Akhadas participated in the grand Pravesh Yatra (entry procession).

A Spectacle Of Tradition And Devotion

The procession moved through the city, attracting massive crowds on both sides of the streets. Leading the procession were the Dharma Dhwajas (religious flags) and idols of Lord Hanuman, followed by the vibrant Dharma Dhwaj of the Akhadas’ Khalsas. The chariot of Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Ram Bhadracharya marked a key moment in the procession, which was accompanied by elephants, horses, and camels carrying seated saints.

Traditional music and band performances further heightened the atmosphere.

As the procession made its way toward the Maha Kumbh area, the Mela administration also extended a warm welcome to the Vaishnav Akhadas at various points. Their grand entry into the Maha Kumbh area further underscores the importance of faith, devotion, and the legacy of Sanatan Dharma at this momentous event.
