Inspired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, people from various religions, communities, and professions are contributing to ensure the smooth and safe experience for pilgrims attending the Maha Kumbh.
Residents from Prayagraj and surrounding districts including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Kashi, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, and Mirzapur are stepping up to provide essential supplies like food and water for the thousands of devotees. This spontaneous outpouring of support reflects the deep sense of hospitality and unity within the state.
As the crowd swells, doctors, teachers, and volunteers from various fields have joined the efforts to serve the devotees. In an extraordinary display of solidarity, robotic surgeons from England and renowned heart and vascular specialists from across India have come forward to provide medical assistance, further emphasizing the scale of support.

Apollo Hospital in Lucknow has deployed a team of doctors offering online consultations, with renowned vascular surgeon Dr. Yashpal Singh leading the virtual care efforts. Additionally, Dr. Waliullah Siddiqui, a specialist in robotic surgery, traveled from England to Prayagraj to directly assist pilgrims in need of medical care. Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh, a leading cardiologist at Medanta Hospital, is offering virtual consultations to devotees arriving from Lucknow and Ayodhya.
In another remarkable effort, schools and religious institutions in Prayagraj have opened their doors to accommodate pilgrims. The Pom Academy, a local school, has mobilized a 65-member team to distribute food and water at the railway station and surrounding areas.
In addition, 12 school classrooms have been repurposed as temporary lodging spaces, with staff members actively helping devotees on the streets. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to providing a seamless experience for all attendees.
The sense of unity and goodwill at Maha Kumbh is not limited to material support. In a heartwarming display of religious harmony, the Muslim community in Prayagraj has further extended a warm welcome to Sanatan devotees.
Outside the Jama Masjid in the Chowk area, members of the Muslim community greeted pilgrims with chants of “Har Har Gange,” offering flowers and angvastras as a gesture of respect before bidding them farewell. This act exemplifies the spirit of unity that defines the Maha Kumbh experience.
