The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation experience for the millions of devotees expected to attend the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. With the grand event set to begin on January 13, 2025, the UPSRTC is implementing several key measures to facilitate the seamless movement of pilgrims.
To accommodate the heavy influx of devotees, the UPSRTC will operate electric buses, providing an eco-friendly and efficient mode of transport within the Maha Kumbh area. In addition to the electric buses, the corporation will deploy 7,000 rural buses and 350 shuttle buses to manage the large crowds expected during the event.

During the primary bathing days, buses arriving from neighboring districts will operate from eight temporary bus stations located in the outer fair area. These stations will help streamline crowd management and ensure smooth transit for the thousands of pilgrims attending the event.
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh highlighted that the Maha Kumbh Mela is expected to draw crores of devotees. To prepare, the government has implemented extensive measures to ensure both safety and convenience. The UPSRTC has established a fully operational Command Control Center at its headquarters to provide real-time information and assistance to the public.
To address any issues with bus services during the event, 24×7 support will be available from the headquarters, offering assistance to drivers, conductors, and passengers. Additionally, regular communication with the Control Room at Jhunsi, Prayagraj, will ensure updates are provided to higher management every two hours.
Passengers in need of assistance can contact the Command Control Center via the toll-free number 18001802877 or the WhatsApp number 9415049606. Immediate help will be provided as needed, ensuring that all devotees have a hassle-free experience during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
With these extensive preparations, the UPSRTC aims to provide safe, efficient, and accessible transport services to millions of pilgrims, making the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 a memorable and smooth experience for all.
