Promoting startup UP is the Young face of New India : AK Sharma

Promoting startup: UP Minister AK Sharma addressed the UP Retail Msme & Startup & Expo & Conclave organized by PHD Chamber of commerce and industry and angel Networks in Lucknow on 27 December 2022.

Promoting startup: In order to encourage the start-up eco-system in UP as well as in India, UP Cabinet Minister, A K Sharma attended the Conclave as the chief guest and delivered an impactful speech to inspire young energy towards startups.

Promoting startup: AK sharma visited the stalls of exhibition and also conversed with the vendors about the start ups at length to get a better understanding about their products.

While addressing the youth and entrepreneurs gathered in the Conclave, Minister Shri AK Sharma told that Under the leadership of Hon.orable PM and Honorable CM, UP is emerging as the state of opportunities. UP is going to be the strongest pillar of India’s 5 Trillion dollar economy.

The UP Minister also emphasized upon the focus on one’s own cultural strengths considering it vital for any progress. Innovation with the strength of tradition is very useful in marching ahead in life and business, he added.

Siting India’s historical scientific heights in the ancient times, AK Sharma said that India has been a land of scientists and innovators. Bow and arrow was a frugal invention. But in that Shabd Bhedi ban was an invention of Artificial Intelligence at that time. similar invention was Pushpak Vimaan.


Feeling proud about the Indian’s potential the UP Minister said, ‘We have been the land of entrepreneurs, inventors. We should be proud of this heritage of ours.”

About the challenge of the Waste Management, AK Sharma said that lot of food grains get wasted in the country. Not only in rural areas but also  in urban areas the waste management is a huge challenge. Startups can also make attempt to work in these areas.

Presenting the government’s view towards supporting start ups, he revealed, ‘Our government’s priority is to facilitate the start-ups. I would also urge the parents to allow their children to opt for enterprise and innovation. Both the center and state governments are with them with all support.

Clarifying the facts with figures, AK Sharma told that more than 60% of UP population is in the working age. The capabilities of This state’s youth is to prolific. they can do lots of things in the startup sector and startup is clearly the future. More than 50% of Unicorns are headed by persons of. UP.

”Similarly more than 70% angel funds are headed by people of UP. Up have more than 8000 startups, but only four are Unicorns. Now, government of UP is committed to facilitate them. There are a huge scope of innovation and technology” AK Sharma added while speaking about the Unicorns.

Inspiring innovation for the start ups in the field of Water Management and he also cited the examples viz. Bundelakhnd. AK Sharma said, ”In the Bundelkhand the entire area has very huge probability in water management with the help of startups. And also Defense Industral corridor gives further huge opportunity for startups. I would say Let’s start talking good things about our state, now situation has changed.”
