UPGIS 2023 – Ahead of the B2G meetings and roadshows of UPGIS(Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit) 2023 was organized under the leadership of Cabinet Minister AK Sharma on Friday, 22 investors from Ahmedabad signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs. 38,000 crores.
The signing of these MoUs in Uttar Pradesh will directly or indirectly generate over 50,000 job opportunities. Apart from the investors who signed the MoUs. Several others stated that they would finalize their investment at the UP Global Investors Summit-23. Which will be held in Lucknow next month.
UPGIS 2023: Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister AK Sharma
The meetings and roadshows of UPGIS 2023 were organized in Ahmedabad and were led by UP Cabinet Minister for urban development and energy AK Sharma. He was accompanied by chief minister’s Advisor Avnish Awasthi, cabinet minister Jitin Prasad, minister of Uttar Pradesh Jayendra Pratap Singh Rathore besides many senior officials of the UP government.
Cabinet Minister AK Sharma and cabinet minister of the public works department, Jitin Prasad, invited industrialists to invest in the state, putting the investment-friendly policies of the Yogi government. Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister AK Sharma said, “UP is the fifth part of the country in terms of population, if there is something better, then naturally the betterment will be in the country’s progress and economic growth”.
The policies and environment of UP are the best
Speaking to the media, Minister of State, Jayendra Pratap Singh Rathore said, “The policies and environment of UP are the best. That’s why we are inviting all of you to take advantage of this huge market.”
B2G meetings were organized throughout the day before the roadshow. More than 30 investors inquired about the possibilities of investment in UP and its policies.
UP got these investors
Torrent Pharma, which is a well-known pharmaceutical company in Gujarat, signed the biggest MoU worth Rs 25,000 crore.
Meanwhile, Amul India also signed an MoU worth Rs. 900 crores for setting up a new milk plant in the Baghpat district of UP. Apart from this, 9 MoUs were of one thousand crore rupees or more. A total of 22 MoUs worth Rs. 38,000 crores were also signed during this period.

UP got investments in these areas
Renewable energy, solar city, pharma park, green hydrogen, milk processing unit, dairy farm, research and development lab, shepherd training, infrastructure, textiles, healthcare products, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, hotels in Gujarat in B2G meets and roadshows investments have been received in various sectors including Industry, tourism, chemical sector, food & beverages industry, sports industry, multi-specialty hospital, hydropower plant, petrochemical industry, data center, logistics & warehousing, waste management solution, medical device park, drugs.
