UP Thriving In Positive Environment, Peace: Dr Rajeshwar Singh

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Sarojini Nagar MLA, Dr Rajeshwar Singh, recently spoke about the significant changes happening in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During his appearance on UPdate’s podcast, Dr Singh expressed pride in the state’s transformation, attributing much of it to Yogi Adityanath’s leadership.

“Because of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, we proudly say that we live in Uttar Pradesh,” said Singh. He reflected on the state’s troubled past, mentioning how hooliganism and lawlessness once plagued Uttar Pradesh. However, he credited the BJP government, under Yogi’s leadership, for restoring law and order in the state. “When the BJP came to power, we focused on fixing the law and order situation. We believed that peace had to come first—and that’s what happened,” Singh said.

Dr Singh went on to highlight the government’s tough stance on crime. “Over 62,000 criminals were jailed under the Gangster Act during our tenure. Their assets worth more than Rs 2,000 crore were seized, and 62,000 acres of land were freed from the clutches of the encroachment mafia,” he added. He further noted that more than 200 notorious criminals were eliminated in police encounters led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which he claimed played a key role in restoring peace.

“The atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh has improved significantly. People now do business without fear, students study in a peaceful environment, and the state is progressing in terms of education and development,” Singh observed. He credited Yogi Adityanath with fostering this positive change, saying that the Chief Minister’s policies have created a conducive environment for growth and progress.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, whose career spans from his time as Deputy SP in the Uttar Pradesh Police to his current role as an MLA, is known for his successful campaigns against crime and reforms in the police department. His work in law enforcement earned him the prestigious President’s Bravery Medal. Now, as a public servant under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Dr. Singh continues to contribute to the state’s development through public initiatives and ongoing efforts to improve Uttar Pradesh’s law and order situation.

Rajeshwar Singh’s comments underscore the BJP’s focus on maintaining law and order, which it views as a cornerstone of governance in Uttar Pradesh, especially ahead of upcoming elections.
