UP Chief Minister Unveils Ambitious Plan to Restore State’s Iconic Lamp Identity and Revive Glory

Moradabad/Rampur: UP Chief Minister  Yogi Adityanath attacked past state administrations for curfews and rioting on Saturday, claiming that the BJP’s double-engine government staged Kanwar Yatras across the state. Addressing a crowd at an event inauguration in Moradabad, Adityanath criticized past governments for nepotism, claiming that the state with limitless perspective had lost its identity.

‘The previous administrations enforced curfews, thus we initiated Kanwar Yatras. They stole people’s wages, whilst we offered jobs for the youth. We have also completed the 500-year process of constructing the Ram temple in Ayodhya,” he stated.

The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the groundwork for projects totaling Rs 513 crore in the area. In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, Adityanath has gone into overdrive, launching projects and hosting public gatherings.

In recent addresses, he has accused opposition parties, notably the Samajwadi Party, of harboring criminals, nepotism, corruption, and a lack of development effort during their tenure. Adityanath’s remarks have focused on the construction of the Ram temple, government projects for free rations, and enhanced law and order.

“They made business people and ladies feel uneasy. Riots began to occur. Curfews and rioting encircled the state, and the youth faced an identity crisis. Entrepreneurs began fleeing the state. Nepotism entered the growth process, and this state with limitless potential gradually lost its character,” he stated during his speech in Moradabad. He said that past governments decimated the state’s education system first, followed by its health services.

Adityanath also attended the passing out parade of Sub-Inspectors of Uttar Pradesh Police at the police training institute in Moradabad. Following the function in Moradabad, the chief minister traveled to Rampur district, where he inaugurated and laid the groundwork for projects worth Rs 610 crore.

Addressing a rally in Rampur, Adityanath stated that Rampur’s identity was its chakoo (knife). “Some individuals used the knife to pickpocket, but we now utilize it to ensure protection for everyone.” Adityanath further stated that in Rampur, impoverished people’s land was formerly taken, but they are now being rehabilitated under the PM SVANidhi initiative. Today, the Rampur gharana of music is being revitalized by the violins made here, he added.

This is the same Uttar Pradesh where curfews were imposed prior to 2017 and riots occurred. Today, we can say, “No curfew, no danga, UP main hai sab changa!” (No curfew, no rioting, everything is OK in UP),” he stated.

The chief minister stated that no one may hurt women or businesspeople in the state. “If anyone does this, ‘Yamraj’ will come for him at the next road crossing,” Adityanath said.

The chief minister discussed the development work being done in the state under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and urged people to vote for the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
