Until Every Needy Gets A House, Modi Will Not Rest Easy, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reaffirmed the NDA government’s commitment to Bihar’s overall progress while inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development works worth nearly Rs 13,000 crore.

The projects span power, roads, health, water supply, and urban development.

Speaking from Gaya Ji, the Prime Minister

stated, “The NDA government is fully committed to the all-round development of Bihar. In this context, today, from the sacred land of Gaya Ji, I had the privilege of inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees.”

As part of the programme, he symbolically handed over house keys to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The scheme covered 12,000 rural families and 4,260 urban households.

The Prime Minister flagged off two new train services. To begin with, he launched the Amrit Bharat Express between Gaya and Delhi. In addition, he introduced the Koderma–Vaishali Buddhist Circuit train, aimed at strengthening religious tourism and improving connectivity.

Addressing a large gathering, PM Modi underlined that his greatest satisfaction lies in improving the lives of the poor and easing the burdens of women.

“I have a firm resolve — until every needy person gets a permanent house, Modi will not rest easy. With this very thought, over the past 11 years, more than four crore poor people have been provided with permanent houses,” PM Modi asserted.

He also lauded the Bihar government’s decision to officially name the city as Gaya Ji, highlighting its spiritual significance.

“This land is the land of spirituality and peace. It is the sacred land that granted enlightenment to Lord Buddha. The spiritual and cultural heritage of Gaya Ji is very rich. The people here wished that this city be called Gaya Ji, not just Gaya. I congratulate the Bihar government on this decision. I am happy that the double-engine government of Bihar is continuously working for the rapid development of Gaya Ji,” PM Modi further noted.

Additionally, the Prime Minister emphasised that the new projects will play a major role in boosting industries and generating employment opportunities for the state’s youth.

“These include several major projects related to energy, health, and urban development. These will strengthen the industries of Bihar and create new employment opportunities for the youth. I congratulate the people of Bihar for these projects,” the PM added.
