In the Gujarati district of Surat, an 11-year-old girl who vanished a week ago was sexually assaulted and then killed, according to authorities on Tuesday.
According to them, two people who were initially from Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh were taken into custody for the heinous murder.
Superintendent of Police (Surat Rural) Hitesh Joysar stated that when the victim vanished from her home on March 18, the police filed a formal complaint under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 363 (kidnapping) and assembled several teams to search for her.

According to him, the girl’s partially nude body was discovered on March 23 after being abandoned in some shrubbery close to her home.
Joysar informed the media that doctors eventually proved the girl had been raped before her murder.
“To solve the crime, more than 15 police teams were formed which surveyed over 600 houses and nabbed two suspects who later confessed to having committed the crime,” he stated.
According to the SP, the two didn’t go to work on the day the girl vanished even though they both resided in her neighborhood.

He said that the accused, Deepak Kori, a 23-year-old from Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh, and Anuj Paswan, a 23-year-old from Palamu in Jharkhand, were charged with murder, rape, and destruction of evidence under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to the police officer, the accused sexually raped the girl and then killed her because he was afraid he would be discovered.
“Police will collect evidence against them and file a chargesheet on time by involving a special prosecutor to ensure they get the strictest possible punishment,” he stated.
