Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to industrialist Ratan Tata on his 88th birth anniversary, hailing him as a visionary who transformed Indian enterprise while remaining firmly anchored in ethical values and national service.
Taking to X, Shah posted, “Tributes to Ratan Tata Ji on his Jayanti who reshaped Indian enterprise with integrity and compassion. From building indigenous industry to selfless philanthropy, he showed that true success lies in service to the nation. His legacy will inspire a self-reliant Bharat.”
Born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, Ratan Tata led the Tata Group from 1991 to 2012, and briefly until 2017.
Under his leadership, the group emerged as a globally respected institution while preserving its long-standing ethical foundations.
Ratan Tata passed away on October 9, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that continues to shape India’s economic and moral landscape.
