Tragic Incident Claims Lives Of Two Migrant Children In Gujarat

In a heartbreaking incident in Nana Mahika village, Rajkot district, two young migrant children tragically lost their lives after falling into a 60-foot deep well. The victims, Hrithik Jadav, aged 4, and his 2-year-old cousin Ashwin Jadav, were part of a migrant family working in the local paddy fields.

The family, originally from Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh, had relocated to Gondal taluka three months ago for seasonal agricultural work. Sources indicate that the children were playing near the well when they accidentally fell in.

The tragic discovery was made by the children’s father, who was working nearby. He noticed the children’s shoes floating in the well and immediately attempted a rescue using a makeshift device. Despite his efforts, only one child’s body was retrieved by the father. The Gondal Municipal Fire Brigade later recovered the second body.

The bodies were transported to Gondal Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination, with an ambulance provided by Shivam Public Trust. The Gondal Taluka Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
