7 Members of a Family, Including 3 Children, Found Deceased in Gujarat
A tragic and heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Surat, where seven members of a family, including three children under the age of eight, were discovered dead in what is suspected to be a mass suicide. This grim discovery was accompanied by the recovery of a suicide note, shedding light on the harrowing circumstances.
According to police officials, the grim events transpired around midnight on a Friday night when one of the family members administered poison to his wife, the three young children (two daughters aged three and five and a seven-year-old son), and his parents before ultimately taking his own life by hanging. Out of respect for the deceased, Media is refraining from disclosing their names.
The family resided in Siddheshwar Apartment in Palanpur, Surat. Promptly after being informed, the police arrived at the scene, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations.
Rakesh Barot, Surat’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, provided insight into the situation, stating, Seven of a family have died by suicide. Six consumed poison and one hanged himself. Three children are among the deceased. A suicide note has also been found at the scene.
