Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, attributing the tragedy to the flawed alcohol policy that has led to numerous incarcerations, including innocent individuals. Singh underscored the consequences, citing the Naokothi incident where an AASI officer fell victim to a liquor smuggler. He urged Nitish Kumar to reconsider the alcohol ban policy in light of such incidents.
