Noida: A man from Delhi died immediately after using a slide at a water park on the mall’s premises in Noida, triggering a probe by local police, sources said. Dhanjay Maheshwari and four companions went to Entertainment City water park at Great India Place (GIP) Mall in Sector 38A, which is under the jurisdiction of Sector 39 police station, on Sunday evening, according to reports.
After acquiring costumes and storing their possessions in lockers, all of the buddies walked directly to the slide. They came one by one and began sliding when Maheshwari began to have difficulty breathing, according to police. He sat on the ground to rest, but when he didn’t feel better, he was carried to neighboring Kailash Hospital by GIP Mall officials’ ambulance, where physicians confirmed him dead, according to a police spokesperson.
Manish Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida), said Maheshwari’s family members arrived in Noida shortly after the event, and the body was being sent for postmortem. Maheshwari lives on Shivaji Road Extension in Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. Regarding the cause of death, Mishra stated, “We have initiated legal proceedings, and the body has been sent for autopsy, after which the reason could be confirmed.” The police officer stated that the family’s allegations of carelessness on the part of the mall’s administration are being examined.
