Lucknow: Former DGP of UP and BJP Rajya Sabha MP, Braj Lal, launched a scathing attack on SP National President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday. Sharing a video on the social platform ‘X’, he urged Akhilesh Yadav to visit the families of those murdered by Mukhtar Ansari. “You would have wiped the tears of their widows and children, but you will not do this because you only play vote bank politics. You are the same Akhilesh Yadav who withdrew 14 cases of terrorists. We were not surprised by the appeasement exhibited by you,” remarked the BJP MP.
Lal made these remarks while criticizing Akhilesh Yadav for visiting the house of the mafia in Ghazipur to console the family after Mukhtar Ansari’s death. In a public video, the Rajya Sabha MP stated that Akhilesh Yadav had visited the house of the mafia Mukhtar Ansari to offer his condolences. “Mukhtar Ansari killed more than two dozen people. He was convicted by the court in eight cases.”
Lal emphasized that Akhilesh Yadav talks about the backward, Dalit, and minority communities (PDA). “If you had gone there, you would have visited Vishwanath Ram Munim’s house. Vishwanath Ram Munim, who was given a ticket by Honorable Kanshi Ram in the assembly elections of 1993 from Ghazipur Sadar.” Lal listed several individuals in Ghazipur whose murders were allegedly committed by Mukhtar Ansari. “You should have visited the homes of those people, met their widows and children, and wiped their tears. But you will not do this because you only engage in vote bank politics. You are Akhilesh Yadav, who withdrew 14 cases of terrorists, so this appeasement exhibited by you does not surprise us,” he concluded.
