Three Soldiers Killed, Four Injured In Arunachal Road Accident

A tragic road accident in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Subansiri district claimed the lives of three Army personnel and left four others injured on Tuesday. The soldiers were traveling in a truck that fell into a deep gorge.

According to a police official in Itanagar, the accident resulted in the immediate deaths of all three soldiers. The officials took the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment, and further details about the incident are still awaited.

The authorities have identified the soldiers who died in the road accident as Havaldar Nakhat Singh, Naik Mukesh Kumar, and Grenadier Ashish. The Eastern Command of the Indian Army has expressed its condolences for the loss.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the Eastern Command said: “Lt Gen RC Tiwari, Army Cdr EC, and All Ranks express deepest condolences on the sad demise of bravehearts Hav Nakhat Singh, Nk Mukesh Kumar, and Gdr Ashish who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in Arunachal Pradesh. Indian Army stands firmly with the bereaved families.”

The accident has cast a shadow over the region, and the Army is providing support to the families of the deceased soldiers during this difficult time.
