G-20 Visitors in Sanchi
The global representatives of G-20 visited Sanchi and were mesmerized by the beauty, texture, and architectural style of the Indian heritage including Buddhist Stupas there.
Representatives of different countries, who are participating in the special Think-20 program of G-20 in Madhya Pradesh, reached Sanchi, the world-famous tourist destination of Raisen district, on Tuesday during a tour. All the guests were overwhelmed to see the stupas and described it as the land of world peace.
On reaching the Stupa premises, the representatives of G-20 countries were given a grand welcome by applying sandalwood tilak and offering flowers in accordance with the Indian culture. To welcome the G-20 delegates, attractive rangolis were also made at the entrance of the stupa and special decorations were also done. All the delegates were overwhelmed by the warm welcome accorded in Sanchi, the island of peace. School children also welcomed the guests here with the musical performance of their band and concluded with Jai Hind.
Representatives of G-20 countries saw the glorious Indian heritage including Buddhist Stupas in Sanchi Stupa Complex and were mesmerized by their beauty, texture, and architectural style. Along with the Buddhist stupas, the natural beauty of Sanchi also attracted the visitors. During their visit, the officials of the Archaeological Survey of India apprised them of the teachings of Lord Buddha and the messages of Emperor Ashoka. Along with this, information about the architectural style, and historical and archaeological importance of Sanchi Stupas was also given to the global guests.
Renowned flute player Virendra Kore presented flute-singing in different languages and the sound of birds with the flute in front of the representatives of G-20 countries at the Sanchi Stupa complex. Along with this, classical music performances were given by famous Indian artists from Akashvani and Doordarshan, Mohd. Naeem, Shahid Masoom, Wasim Masoom.
