Tejashwi Yadav Disregarded CBI’s Summons For Third Time And Failed To Show Up For Questioning In ‘Land For Jobs Scam’ Case

Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, has again skipped his scheduled interview with the CBI regarding the land scam case.

Tejashwi Yadav was reportedly called by the CBI today for questioning, but the RJD leader did not show up for the investigation, according to reports.

According to sources, the CBI summoned Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, to the CBI headquarters today for questioning in the Land For Jobs Scam case.

Tejashwi Yadav, however, did not appear for questioning even today. This was Tejashwi Yadav’s third summons to appear for questioning, the CBI claims, and he has yet to do so. On March 4 and March 11, he had already been summoned in for questioning.

In a prior statement, the ED claimed that during raids against the family of RJD leader Lalu Prasad in a money laundering case involving the Indian Railways’ “land for jobs” scam, it had seized undeclared cash and criminal proceeds totaling Rs 1 crore. A 600 crore rupee asset has been found.

According to the central agency, the purpose of the probe is to learn more about the real estate and other investments made by Lalu Prasad’s family and allies. The ED conducted a number of raids on the homes and businesses of Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, and the son of Lalu Prasad on Friday.

Lalu Prasad, the former chief minister of Bihar, and his wife Rabri Devi were recently questioned in this matter by the CBI. It is reported that people gave the Yadav family and their allies land as a gift or sold it to them for a low price while Lalu Prasad served as the UPA government’s railway minister from 2004 to 2009.
