Suryavanshi Thakurs Of Ayodhya FINALLY Wear Their Turbans After 500 Years; Find Out The Whole Story

Ram Mandir’s consecration is around the corner. The building of the temple itself has been a very great achievement for Sanatan history and culture. It has a history of more than 500 years. Hence, there are a lot of stories and beliefs that are attached to the Temple. One of those stories mentions Suryavanshi Thakurs of Ayodhya who mortgaged their turbans for Ram Mandir about 500 years ago. Since, the Pran Pratishtha of the popular Ayodhya temple is going to be held on 22nd January, the Suryavanshi’s of Saraisi village can finally set their turbans back on their head. The prized possession for the family was forsaken 500 years ago when the original Ram Mandir was demolished to erect Babri Masjid on the spot.

Turbans are going to embrace the heads of people from the Suryvanshi Thakur community after 500 years. This moment is like a dream come true for the community. The community had taken an oath that they would not wear a turban unless the temple is rebuilt on the original site. Their oath was carried forward by generations ahead. Now, finally their will is coming to life with Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Temple’s consecration.

Know about Suryavanshi Rajputs

The Rajput community can be divided into 3 parts broadly. The Suryavanshis which means “House of the Sun”, people – as Surya means the sun. They are the descendents of Lord Ram. The counterpart is of Chandravanshis which means “House of the moon”, people – as chandra which means the moon. They are the descendants of Lord Krishna. The third group is of ‘Agnikula’ which means “Family of the Fire God”. This group is the one from which Rajputs that claim to be Kshatriyas are driven.
