Prabhas has donated Rs 50 crore to Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. While the actor has dominated headlines suggesting this, the question is, did he? That’s not all. Rumour has it that the actor would also cover expenses for the inauguration which is scheduled for January 22. As the highly anticipated opening ceremony of the Ram Temple draws near, Prabhas’ team addressed the accuracy of these claims while interacting with India Today.
Prabhas is currently high in the success of his recently released film, ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,’ which hit the silver screen in multiple languages on December 22. Amidst this, rumours circulated regarding a substantial donation of Rs 50 crore that Prabhas made in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. Additionally, during a recent event, Andhra Pradesh MLA Chirla Jaggireddy asserted that Prabhas would be covering the food expenses on the day of the inauguration.
In a recent interview with the news portal with a member of Prabhas’ team, the truth behind the claims was cleared out. Having said that, the source dismissed the rumours, categorizing them as “fake news.”
It remains unclear whether Prabhas has received an invitation to the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. While several South Indian celebrities, including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Dhanush, have reportedly been invited to the ceremony on December 22 in Ayodhya.
On the work front, Prabhas, who recently delivered a blockbuster film ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ with director Prashanth Neel is currently engaged in the filming of director Maruthi’s upcoming project, ‘The Raja Saab.’ His future film lineup includes ‘Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam’ and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit.’
