Supporters Hail PM Modi’s Noida Airport Launch As Boost To Jobs And Regional Growth

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Noida International Airport, a major infrastructure initiative expected to strengthen connectivity and drive economic expansion across the National Capital Region (NCR) and neighbouring districts.

The event will include a public address by the Prime Minister, where he is likely to emphasise the project’s strategic importance and its contribution to regional growth.

Supporters Express Optimism

According to IANS, supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party have expressed strong optimism about the airport’s impact on development in western Uttar Pradesh.

“All the districts around the airport, including my district, are clearly witnessing development through the Jewar Airport. Whether it is warehouses, hotels, or industries, the development is giving enthusiasm to the youth. The youth coming to thank PM today shows a new energy, and in the coming days, our district is going to receive even more progress,” a resident from Bulandshahr told IANS.

Another individual associated with the local industry told IANS, “I believe that within this year itself, you will see a drastic change in Uttar Pradesh and the NCR region, and across the nation. World-class industries are reaching out here, including tractor makers and many foreign manufacturing companies. This will provide employment to around 10,000 local people, boost development, and increase per capita income.”

Speaking on the broader political and developmental context, another supporter told IANS that a project of this scale had once seemed unlikely before the tenure of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The supporter credited both the state and central leadership for bringing the airport to fruition.

Residents also highlighted the expected improvements in infrastructure and living standards.

One person from Gautam Buddha Nagar told IANS that the inauguration marks a significant moment for the district and Greater Noida, adding that enhanced connectivity would make daily life more convenient and support ongoing development.

Another supporter described the airport as a landmark achievement for the region, telling IANS that its benefits would extend beyond immediate areas to much of western Uttar Pradesh.

Project Details

Spread across 1,334 hectares, the airport includes a 3,900-metre runway designed to handle large-scale operations.

Domestic flight services will likely begin by the end of April, which is likely to further enhance connectivity and attract additional industrial and commercial investment.

The launch later in the day is being viewed as an important milestone for India’s aviation sector and a significant step in the continued development of western Uttar Pradesh.
