Supernova Building Suicide Case: Police Identify 29-Year-Old Gurugram Resident As Victim

Noida Police identified the man who died after jumping from the 43rd floor of Supernova Spira Tower in Sector 94 as 29-year-old Sambhav Jain, a resident of Manesar in Haryana’s Gurugram.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), Noida Zone, Manisha Singh said police received information about the incident at around 11:30 AM on Saturday.

Police said Jain jumped from the balcony of a room at the Supernova Spira Tower, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sector 126 police station.

A police team reached the spot soon after receiving the information and identified the deceased.

Singh said police informed Jain’s family about his death. Investigators are collecting evidence from the site, while authorities have sent the body for post-mortem examination.

Police have not yet established the reason behind the death. Officials said further investigation remains underway.

According to preliminary information, Jain had been staying at an Airbnb accommodation in the Supernova complex.

A video purportedly showing the incident has circulated on social media. Police have not confirmed the circumstances surrounding the recording.

Media reports quoted an AC mechanic who allegedly tried to stop Jain, saying that he mentioned being depressed before the incident. Police have not independently verified that account.

The incident comes after another suicide case in Greater Noida last month. A first-year MCA student reportedly died by suicide in his room in Sector Alpha-2 under Beta-2 police station. He had moved to Noida about a month earlier and attended online classes.
