The Prayagraj Mela Authority is gearing up to host Maha Kumbh 2025 with elaborate preparations for VIP and VVIP attendees, including judges from the Supreme Court and High Court, as well as other dignitaries. The grand event, spanning 45 days from January 13 (Paush Purnima) to February 26 (Mahashivratri), expect to attract millions of visitors. To ensure dignitaries receive top-notch hospitality, extensive protocol and accommodation arrangements are underway.
A dedicated 24×7 control room has been established to oversee operations, staffed with trained personnel and officials. The government has appointed three Additional District Magistrates (ADMs), three Sub-District Magistrates (SDMs), three Naib Tehsildars, and four Lekhpals to manage protocol arrangements. Deputy Collector-level officers will act as Sector Magistrates across 25 sectors, ensuring smooth execution of plans.
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, in collaboration with private service providers. It is preparing a Tent City comprising 110 luxury cottages and an additional 2,200 cottages. Circuit houses with a capacity for 250 tents are being established across five locations within the fair area.
