Today, on Wednesday (March 13, 2024), the Bharat Express News Network organized the ‘Unnati Ki Aur’ Conclave in Uttarakhand, drawing the participation of numerous prominent leaders and ministers from the state. Among them was the Skill Development Minister of Uttarakhand Government, who discussed the success of various development schemes during the conclave.
Reflecting on Uttarakhand’s 23-year journey, Skill Development Minister Saurav Bahuguna highlighted the significant progress made in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and tourism. He expressed confidence in Chief Minister Dhami’s leadership to continue steering the state towards further development, aiming to fulfill the visions set forth over the years.
Addressing concerns about migration and employment, Minister Bahuguna emphasized his commitment to honoring his grandfather’s legacy, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, who tirelessly worked for Uttarakhand’s development and served as a leader for the nation. He reiterated the original objective behind Uttarakhand’s formation in 2000, emphasizing the importance of developing the hilly regions.

Regarding migration, Minister Bahuguna acknowledged it as a significant challenge and emphasized the government’s priority to curb it. Highlighting the importance of national security, especially given Uttarakhand’s proximity to border areas, he underscored the role of the Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Department in addressing migration issues. The Goat Valley Project, which has engaged 1700 families in the hilly regions, has not only provided livelihood opportunities but also stemmed the tide of migration. Similarly, 2100 families have been involved in poultry farming, contributing to both economic growth and migration prevention efforts.
