Leader of NCP’s Pawar faction, Sharad Pawar met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with two farmers from Maharashtra on Wednesday. Sharad Pawar reached parliament with two pomegranate farmers from Satara and Phaltan to meet the PM and present him with pomegranates.
Pawar and the farmers visited the Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman, Jagdeep Dhankar, and gifted him pomegranates.
Talking to the media as he left the parliament, Pawar said that no political discussion had taken place during the meeting.

Moreover, reports claim that Sharad had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi inviting him to inaugurate the 98th Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, which is scheduled to take place in February next year.

Pawar’s meeting with the PM has raised eyebrows and sparked speculation. The meeting becomes more significant in the backdrop of tabled ‘One nation, one election’ bills, as Pawar’s NCP had called the bill to be sent to the Joint Parliamentary committee contrary to other political parties of the INDIA bloc opposing the bills.
