Seva Yatra: PM Modi To Interact With Participants On Thursday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with participants of the ‘Seva Yatra’ on Thursday as 10 groups of ‘Seva Yatris’ continue their motorcycle journey from Gujarat’s Vadnagar to Varanasi.

The interaction will take place via video conference around 9 AM.

The BJP organised the ‘Seva Yatra’ under its ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to mark PM Modi’s 25 years in public life.

Amit Shah and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel launched the campaign in Vadnagar on September 17.

The motorcycle journey connects Vadnagar, associated with PM Modi’s early life, with Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency.

The 10 groups are travelling across multiple states, districts, talukas, towns and villages, engaging with local communities and participating in service-oriented activities.

Organisers said the initiative goes beyond a motorcycle expedition, bringing together community service, youth participation, social welfare, cultural engagement and public interaction at different locations along the route.

During the journey, the ‘Seva Yatris’ have taken part in cleanliness drives and interacted with residents and beneficiaries. They have visited schools, hospitals, nursing homes and other community locations as part of their outreach activities.

The organisers said the programme aims to take community service and public engagement to the grassroots while encouraging young participants to connect with people across the regions covered by the yatras.

The wider motorcycle initiative includes journeys in both directions between Vadnagar and Varanasi.

The participants are scheduled to continue their journey until October 7.

Thursday’s interaction with the Prime Minister will provide the ‘Seva Yatris’ an opportunity to share their experiences and discuss their engagement with communities during the journey.

The initiative seeks to link youth participation and community service across the villages, towns and districts covered by the teams.
