Leh, Sept. 13: Secretary of the Animal/Sheep Husbandry Department, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar visited various farms of the Animal Husbandry Department in Leh today to assess the progress of infrastructure construction under the Capex/Special Development Package.
The Secretary emphasized the need to complete all infrastructure projects on time and directed the modernization of all farms using the latest techniques and technologies. He praised the department’s dedication and effort in controlling the stray dog population in Ladakh through comprehensive Animal Birth Control and Anti Rabies programs. He directed the department to make all farm products like milk, egg, and poultry available to the public by setting up sales outlets at farms and exploring the entrepreneurship model of poultry and dairy development in UT Ladakh.
