Sanskar Bharati Hosts Monthly Art Symposium At Kala Sankul In New Delhi

In the blind race of modernisation, preserving one’s roots and cultural heritage is no less than a herculean effort.

In this spirit, a grand monthly art symposium was organised on Sunday, 31 May 2026 at Sanskar Bharati’s central office, ‘Kala Sankul’, in New Delhi.

The event brought ancient traditions into a contemporary context while offering a deeply spiritual experience to art lovers and the audience present.

The programme opened with a captivating blend of melody and rhythm.

Pandit Pankaj Vishal enthralled the audience with his soulful sitar performance, presenting enchanting ragas that immersed listeners in the depths of Indian classical music.

Ustad Mustafa Hussain accompanied him on the tabla, adding vibrant energy where every beat reflected the pulse of cultural tradition.

Kripa Tendulkar followed this with a graceful Kathak performance. Her expressive movements, technical precision and spiritual grace captivated the audience, earning widespread applause.

The performance vividly brought India’s timeless classical dance tradition to life on stage.

The event also featured an intellectual session titled ‘World’s Ancient Traditions’.

Sandeep Kaveshwar, Organisation Minister of the International Centre for Cultural Studies (ICCS), Delhi, shared his insights, highlighting the importance of nature worship and global brotherhood. He noted that many positive traditions from ancient civilisations across the world continue to guide society even today.

The event witnessed a large gathering of art lovers, intellectuals and culture enthusiasts.

Among the distinguished guests were classical vocalist Navneeta Chaudhary, theatre artist Avtar, and lighting designer Milind Srivastava. Dr Richa Kamboj Sahni of IGNC and Meghna Vyas Arora, Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, also attended the event.

Coordinator Ritambhara Rimjhim efficiently conducted the symposium, while co-coordinator Vishwdeep delivered the vote of thanks.

Researcher Garima Rani, dancer Sneha Mukherjee, and art critic Shraboni Saha played important roles in the programme. The efforts of the entire Sanskar Bharati team also contributed to its success.

The event, however, concluded with a deep sense of respect and dedication towards Indian art, music and cultural heritage.
