Name misued
Enforcement Directorate (ED) today claimed that business tycoon Sujit Patkar have used Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut’s name in order to meet Sanjay Jaiswal, additional commissioner BMC.
The meeting was regarding getting the manpower contracts necessary to different Mumbai hospitals run by BMC. ED has revealed that Patkar has provided 40 percent of the staff as decided by the BMC. But when he produced bills he claimed to have provided 100 percent of manpower. The bill also mentioned the days when the medical centre remained closed due to Tauktae cyclone.

ED is conducting the raid over the appointment of manpower necessary for different field hospitals. The Maharashtra state government has assigned the BMC to fill up the necessary staff. The complaint was first filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiyah with Mumbai police regarding the contracts given at an abnormal rates to those contractors who are incapable to carry out this responsibility.
It should be noted that the manpower became necessary during the times of Covid Pandemic and Patkar, himself, is an accused in the Covid Scam. Somaiyah alleged that the contractors were linked with different Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leaders.
