The sad news of the demise of the Sahara Group founder shocked the industrial world.  Subrat Roy was 75.  It was Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute (KDAH) in Mumbai where he was admitted on Sunday after a decline in his health condition.

The media mogul of India, Subrat Roy was close to Samajvadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh. A tweet by present SP Supremo Akhilesh Yadav says it is an emotional loss for the country!

In a statement, the Sahara India Pariwar says, “It is with profound sadness that Sahara India Pariwar informs the demise of our Hon’ble ‘Saharasri’ Subrata Roy Sahara.  An inspirational leader and visionary, Saharasri ji passed away on 14th November 2023 at 10.30 pm in Mumbai.”

“The entire Sahara India Pariwar is shocked and Sahara Shri’s loss will be deeply felt by all of us. As a mentor, a guiding force and a source of inspiration for everyone of us who had the privilege to work under his guidance. Sahara Shri ji was the pillar of the strength for all of us,” the statement from the group says.

As per the doctors of the hospital, an apparent reason of the demise seems to be a cardiorespiratory arrest which followed by an extended battle with complications that arose due to hypertension, metastatic malignancy and diabetes.
