The Vishwa Mangalya Sabha will organise its North India Enlightenment Meeting on July 23 and 24 at the World Youth Centre in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, in the presence of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat.
Around 280 women representatives from several northern states and regions will participate in the two-day programme.
Addressing a press conference, National Organising Secretary Vrushali Joshi said the organisation has worked for the social, cultural and ideological awakening of women for the past 16 years.
The organisation follows the guiding principle, ‘Matu Par Devatam’, meaning ‘There is no deity greater than a mother’. Its founder is Shrinath Peethadheeshwar Anant Shri Vibhushit Acharya Swami Shri Jitendranath Ji Maharaj.
Dr Mohan Bhagwat mentors and guides the organisation and contributes to its annual planning.
Vrushali Joshi clarified that Vishwa Mangalya Sabha is neither a branch nor an affiliated organisation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. She said the organisation works independently among women on various social issues and currently operates across 33 provinces.
Vrushali Joshi noted that nearly seven lakh women participated in recent women’s conventions held across Delhi and 23 provinces.
Based on those interactions, the organisation has adopted ‘Contemporary Motherhood’ as its primary theme for the coming years.
Vrushali Joshi said this year’s programme holds special significance.
Dr Mohan Bhagwat has allocated four days for the organisation’s meetings, including two days each for North and South India.
The northern session will take place in Delhi, while Hyderabad will host the southern meeting.
On July 24, Dr Bhagwat will hold an interaction with workers at the World Youth Centre before addressing an evening dialogue on ‘Motherhood Discourse’ with distinguished women at Ambedkar Bhawan, Janpath.
The event, expected to draw 700 to 800 women, will include an interactive question-and-answer session.
Media representatives have also been invited to cover the programme, while the organisation will present its annual roadmap and key decisions after the meeting.
