Rishabh Pant Accident: Haryana Roadways Honored The Driver-Conductor Who Rescued India Cricketer

Rishabh Pant Accident News:  The Haryana Roadways on Friday honored bus driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjeet who helped Rishabh Pant get out of his luxury car after it crashed into a road divider and caught fire on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

“We gave them an appreciation letter and a shield when they returned to Panipat,” Haryana Roadways Panipat depot general manager Kuldeep Jangra said to media.

Haryana Roadways honored the driver and the conductor

According to the information received from sources, Haryana Roadways has honored the driver and conductor. Haryana State Transport Corporation’s Panipat Depot General Manager Kuldeep Jangra told that on their return to Panipat, we have honored them by giving them an appriciation letter and a shield in our office. He told that Sushil Kumar saw the car hitting the road divider after which he stopped with his conductor and ran to help. Jangra also said that both the driver and the conductor have set an example of humanity.

Recalling the incident, Paramjeet said the car went up in flames moments after Pant was pulled out.

“As we dragged him (Rishabh Pant) out, the car caught fire and burned down within 5-7 seconds. He had major injuries on his back. We enquired about his personal information and that is when he said he is an Indian team cricketer,” he said.

Uttarakhand government will also honor

Ashok Kumar, Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP), on Friday announced that the passersby, who helped Pant, will be honored and rewarded under the ‘Good Samaritan’ scheme of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.

“Uttarakhand has announced that Haryana Roadways Drivers and Operators and other local people who came forward to help during the road accident on Delhi-Dehradun Highway in which Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was injured this morning will be honored and rewarded under the ‘Good Samaritan’ scheme of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India,” officials said.

The car collided with the divider due to a nap

Let us tell you that the accident took place in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand at around 5.30 am. Senior Superintendent of Haridwar Police Ajay Singh told that Pant had a nap. Due to which the Mercedes Benz Car collided with the divider and caught fire in the car.
