Republic Day 2024 LIVE Updates: As dawn breaks over the magnificent Kartavya Path in New Delhi, the entire nation is gearing up for a grand celebration of unity, diversity, and progress on the momentous occasion of the 75th Republic Day. Leading the festivities is President Droupadi Murmu, with the esteemed presence of French President Emmanuel Macron as the chief guest at the parade.
The Kartavya Path witnessed impressive dress rehearsals as armed forces contingents marched to the rhythmic beats, preparing for the grand spectacle of the 75th Republic Day parade. A vibrant display awaits the nation under the thematic themes of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat – Loktantra ki Matruka,’ showcasing India’s cultural richness, military prowess, and the empowering force of Nari Shakti.
The day commences with a solemn and heartfelt tribute to the fallen heroes, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays respects at the National War Memorial. Alongside other dignitaries, Prime Minister Modi will then proceed to the saluting dais at Kartavya Path to witness the grand parade that encapsulates the spirit of India’s diverse and vibrant heritage.
The illustrious President Droupadi Murmu and Chief Guest President Emmanuel Macron will be escorted by the venerable President’s Bodyguard – ‘Rashtrapati Ke Angrakshak.’ This Regiment, the seniormost in the Indian Army, holds particular significance this Republic Day as it marks 250 years of dedicated service since its inception in 1773.
